About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Micanopy Middle School, Inc. Reviews
To be completely honest this is a pretty good school. The students are much less troublesome than kids at a typical middle/high school. There are minimal behavioral issues among students. Compared to other schools/students that I've encountered... things could be a WHOLE lot worse. As far as BULLYING is concerned, one must realize that kids at that age can be ruthless and as the saying goes 'kids will be kids'. However, this school is an anti-bullying school that takes bullying very seriously. Not to mention that it is an A school and the class sizes are really small. I'm not a spokes person, just someone that has had the chance to observe how things work. I would gladly return to this school given the opportunity.
I thought it was a good school but the bulling that goes on is ridiculous, and they dont do anything about it,because it is still going on this whole yr.The same kids too so the victim has to leave instead.
