Well as an alumni of Everglades high school I must say it's a wonderful high school to attend. I attended Everglades for two years, thus graduating from Everglades 2007-2009. Anyhow, when I was their Everglades reached to 4,000 students now it's about 2,500-2,700 hundred students enrolled. The teachers seemed thrilled with teaching the students well, their was this one bad teacher I had but what school doesn't have a bath teacher. The one thing I liked was the turn out support. For example, (GSA) gay straight allience club, see at my former high school nobody was interested in joining that club. Whereas, Everglades tons of students joined as well as any other club. Also, diversity at Everglades is widespread, You have Asians, Hispanics, African Americans, Jews, Caucasians ect...... So all of the students got along very well. As of now Everglades is an A rated school rising from a B. So to those parents who have their doubts about Everglades you need not not worry anymore. As an alumni C/09 I really enjoyed the school, and so will your child and recieve one of the best education he/she will ever get.

Honestly this isnt a bad school because its so calm and they have pretty good teachers and i have learned alot. But alot of kids from East miramar fake their addresses to come here, theyre is so much ignorant disrespectful students that go here and the drug distribution is pretty bad.

Everglades High School really is a great school. There are amazing teachers that have multiple teaching techniques. People seem to be naming these fights, but what they failing to realize is that most of them do not last past 5 seconds until administration gets there. You shouldn't be worried about sending your kid here because of the environment. I am a junior that has continued to attend this school since the moment I was able to call myself a freshman. I love this school and I have learned so much from amazing teachers.
Yes, we do have some bad apples but not everyone is like that. I have never gotten into trouble and neither have my friends. There are a lot of great students in this school and they are not hard to come by. There is no drug problem in this school.
There are multiple activities and clubs you can join. There are many events going on during spirit week, including powderpuff. Dodgeball tournaments, many sports, and loads of clubs.
The bee incident wasn't only a problem at EHS but also to the neighboring middle school.
This school has spirit and I am proud to say that I am a Gator.

I am a parent of two students at Everglades High School. I have been impressed at the professionalism of the teachers, administration and staff. They take time to teach our kids and look after their best interest.
I look forward to seeing both my children graduating from Everglades.
As for those who complain, you may want to see what you can do to correct the problems, not just complain. Give ideas on how to correct the problems. Become the one who resolves the issues not the one who sits back and complains! GET INVOLVED!
Sincerely,
A Satisfied Parent.

Most people are leaving negative comments about the school. I, on the other hand, disagree. Personally, I love Everglades High School. Compared to my old school, Everglades is NOT poor. The school lunch is no where near as disgusting as where I used to go. Believe it or not, the education is good! Sure, there are some bad teachers but many take their job seriously.
There are bees but what are you supposed to do about nature?
You can't say "oh im allergic to bees we need poision everywhere!" well, what if someone is allergic to the poison?
Kids need to appreciate what we have here at Everglades because, trust me, there is way worse

This school should be inspected.... We have a bee infestation, a drug distribution problem, and honestly I many times have went hungry because the food in the cafeteria has had mold, spoiled milk, too long of lines, and the tables are filthy because they clean them with the same thing they mop the floors with!!!!!! I am an outraged sophomore who has had it with this school and its code violations! This school isn't fit to run another year... and that's not an opinion that's a fact!!!

This school is definitely not as up to par as these students are saying. The students rarely behave the teachers, there a multiple physical fights daily, and the education is as bad as it can get. Do whatever you can to avoid this school, or even the school district in general. Just about anything is better than this.

IB: it takes time to see that Everglades is a great school. The teachers are more than just teachers; they're all amazing people who would reach incredible lengths in order to help a student in almost anything imaginable. Also, Everglades has such a diverse range of people, that equality is just second-nature to everyone; unfortunately, this is something rare to come across. To me, and to so many other students, Everglades High was a place I could call "home".
