im finishing up my last year in glades and i can tell you it is a VERY good school! the staff is very nice. the teachers love to help kids who need help. and althought glades has a dress code, its not as bad as having to wear a skirt and a polo shirt with a tie

I am the parent of a past Glades Middle school child who is now in High school, @ Everglades, she was bullied at Glades  and it transitioned to hIgh school. The administration there is very inept they never handles the situation, they hide a lot of things a about bullying. The girls who bullied my daughter are still doing so , mean and nasty.
My 6th grader last year was beaten up by another sixth grader, they never called me they never offered the child any medical attention. They tried to play it down , my child was in Gem math and fell  this semester. The school is not equipped with trained personnel to handle bullying the principal is arrogant and very biased and spiteful.I have since complained to BCSB.Not a good school at all.

Asad Mirza: It's all a matter of perception. As a former student I can say fully I only saw 1 fight that was mostly verbal. The clothing is inappropriate in the eyes of the parents even though it's still following all school clothing polices.  The school's still great and I wouldn't rate it anything lower then a 5.

No school is perfect, no not one and Glades Middle is no exception but I do feel they have done a good job.  I am a parent of a sixth grade girl and first time in public school.  I thank God for the strong foundation that she has been blessed with!  We parents must be committed, involved and a loving force in our childrens lives.  We cannot hold others (school/teachers) to a standard, we are not willing to live by ourselves! Self-Repect, Love, Honesty, Friendship, Tolerance, Courage, Purity, Faith, starts in our home.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverb 22:6

glades middle  was a decent schooll but since the last two years i have to disagree! There are many fights and  plenty of girls dressing inappropriate and boys with pants below their butts. The upkeep of the school is not good. When i go to drop my child off there is garbage all over the place. My child has also informed me the children at glades are disrespectful to the teachers and and are always using swear words. This school went so far down hill it is going to take alot for it to get back up! Disipline in glades is poor these children just walk right over the people in charge. The adults seem to be having a hard time running that zoo they call a school!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend it. It's too crowded and unsafe.
My daughter spent 2 years and I'm defenetely taking her out next year.
