I went to this school for my first time this year and i enjoyed it for the most part. What ive seen though is that many of the students dont listen and dont wanna learn making it seem like the teachers arent teaching them . I was in a Gifted High Achiever program and it was different but the 2 periods I was with the other students I saw that they didnt wanna listen or learn . Thats their fault. The school offers alot. Sports like footbal basketball cheerleading etc. Before school tutoring reading/math coaches . The only thing is they dont wanna learn. Thats why NRMS didnt reach the Adequate Yearly Progress because kids didnt learn anything throughout the year so when they took the test they were looking at it like " When the hell did we learn this?!" Dont blame the school blame the student :p

Wow! It is so easy to blame the teachers. So, a child received an F simply because the teacher or teachers were lazy. This is a bit arcane. I think if we sit down and help our children, we will see that those teachers are not to blame. Of course teachers play a great part of the students academic attainment. They teach the students ; and it is up to them and their parents to bolster the teacher. Yes, this school may not be the best when it comes to fignting, that, i do not know. Nonetheless, one can not just blame teachers for grades. Involve in your children's study, I m sure you will see the difference. No one can give you an F if you do not deserve it. While i sticking to the thruth, a lot of students there do not want to focus and learn. Teachers have to work very hard to teach them. It is like you are forcing them to learn. If the parents help make these students focus, I m sure the school will improve. But of course, they need the parents help.

I attended New Renaissance Middle school for the 2009-2010 school year. It is as bad as you make it. I graduated my eighth grade year with a 4.0 gpa. New Ren is as bad as you make it...if you surround yourself with bad then this is what happened. There are not that many fights only at the start of the year, the beginning of spring break and the end of the year. There are ony a few fights that you can count on your baby finger that happen. I was on the advance/gifted track and the massacred us with work that actually prepared me for the Miramar High IB magnet program and I thank them greatly for it.

Terrible. I took my daughter out of this school. The kids
are very unruly and the teachers at the time were awful. I have
spoken to other kids that wish they could attend another school.

New Renaissance Middle School-- What can I say? It's not exactly the best school my children have been to. A large percent of the teachers screw up the students' grades. My daughter, for instance, got an 'F' in a class becaus the teacher was too lazy to grade anything.
Besides th curriculum, fighting there is awful. From what my chldren have said, there are at least two to three fights everyday! At their last school, there was a fight every once in a blue moon.
So my review of this school is very, very negative indeed.
