Holley-Navarre Intermediate School Reviews
I am basing my opinion on previous years (the last two-2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school terms). While I am certain this is an above average rated school, with an A+ rating on Qualified Teachers. The school still remains crowded when compared with student to teacher ratio. It is our children who are paying the price. I have two grandsons currently enrolled with Holley-Navarre Intermediate and Middle School this year.
I feel the School System, Teachers, and their Parents have failed them and they may be among the percentages that "slip through the cracks" and become potential "drop-outs". Unless the schools become more focused on individual needs of each student, and ensures that they get specialized help or tutoring in subjects they are weak or failing in, teachers will be making a conscious decision to fail them rather than the exception, to take them under-wing and walk them through the difficult parts until they understand, and maybe even help another student/peer having similar difficulties. And when a student
can help another student understand a problem they weren't able
to do before, you can see their eyes light up and they are bursting with pride and a new found confidence.
I want to see more of this in our children. They are our future
leaders and decision makers. Teach them well, as they will be teaching for generations to come.
I pray my grandsons will have a remarkable school year and this
will be their year to shine.
