Bee: I think FL should stop with all the testing

Sad that a school athletic department is more important than a grandson's education. Hint: He'll be much better off persuing a career in engineering or the sciences than as a tennis or soccer. Your priorities should be in his future, and not how he'll entertain you on the basketball court.

Mary Kinder: I'm very disappointed in the athelectic dept.My grandson has tried out
for soccer, tennis, and now basketball just to be denied again.I would
like to know what kind of athelectic dept are you running. Are these
kids expected to be professionals? My grandson is an honor student
and is proficient in all of the above sports.

Why is it... every time I take my daughter out for a dentist appointment or any other early release or late arrival over the last 3 years they neglect to record it properly and I receive an automated call in the evening saying that, "It appears that a Fleming Island High School Student from your household has had an unexcused absence". It's ridiculous! And very disappointing. I checked her out myself using my ID this afternoon, one hour before normal dismissal for a dentist appointment. I does make me wonder about the rest of the lack of attention to detail. And all of the other items that might be being mis-managed. A very concerned parent!

I have seen just the best of teachers, administrators and overall personnel at Fleming Island High School. Feel very secure with my two grandsons there. Would like to see more security or stricter rules with students walking off campus anytime of day. Otherwise I am glad my student is graduating from such a fine school. All 4 years have been there.

I think the schools dress code is way too strict but other than that it is a good school
