About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Magnet schools promote student diversity because they are open to students outside the normal school district boundaries and often attract high caliber students through competitive programs. James Tillman Elementary Magnet School Reviews
The cons: This school is not well diversified.
The pros: Great teachers and staff. I had one kid go from a c-student with a 504 to ADVANCED classes in middle school. My VPK child has made amazing strides as well as my kindergarden student.
This year, my kindergartener's file has been messed up. His IEP and also his files for immunizations and IEP for the bus, were lost... and I can not express the inconvenience it has caused (I actually work, if I didn't, wouldn't be a big deal). Aside from that, the teachers are excellent. I blame budget cuts for the issues this year.
