Blessed Star Montessori Christian School Reviews
This is a great school. What a surprise. It may not look like much at first glance (from the outside), but when you sit and talk to the teachers, and meet the parents whose children attend, you will find a group of poeple interested in the betterment of our childrens' educations. They are working their way towards Florida public school accreditation as well as the Montessori accrediation.
The children seem to learn more, compared to a public school setting. They definitely have more attention per student than public schools.
Blessed Star is wonderful. They sincerely take into consideration each child's needs, weather they be special needs, or other, the children LEARN, feel the sense of accomplishment, and are typically much more educationally advanced than children of the same ages attending public schools. Also, parental involvement is not just encouraged, but required. It's a great way to instill family values and unity that you won't find in public 'education' systems.
The school is very attentive to each child. Many of the teachers hold at least an A.S. Degree and are working on the Montessori Certification. Many of the parents volunteer their time at the school . It takes caring people like the owner of Blessed Star to put herself on hold to care and give as she has to make such a great place. God has placed her in our community for a reason. I hope each of you will stop in and take a look at the school for yourself. Allow your own heart and eyes to review this wonderful school. Thank god for such blessing in our community.
Blessed Star is a wonderful school! My daughter (3 1/2) has been attending for a year now and she is blossoming into an intelligent, caring and inquisitive child. The teachers and staff are very attentive and fantastic about keeping us up to date on our child's progress. They do in fact teach true Montessori Methodology and the accusations of physical punishment are ridiculous and unfounded. My daughter loves going to school and is excited to learn. The teachers and staff truly adore my child and I feel extremely confident in her safety and well-being. In fact, my son will be attending in the fall. If you want your child to receive an amazing education that fosters the fulfillment of their highest potential-emotional, physical, and intellectual then you would be remiss to overlook Blessed Star.
The director will say all of the right things to present a traditional Montessori. However, after observing a class on several occasions I have found that it is a smokescreen. The classrooms are not in typical 3-year cycles and many of the employees are not professionally trained or understand how to conduct a Montessori classroom. Very disappointed! Montessori School of Pensacola is worth the added cost!
