This school is fake!!!

By a Former Student on

I went to this school many years back. When I got interested in college, my local college told me that this diploma was not accredited. Thus, I had to start from the bottom, and I went for my GED in Florida. I obtained my GED and now am going to grad school. Furthermore, the retards misspelled my name after correcting  them 3 times!!!!  DO NOT GO OR WASTE YOUR TIME WITH AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PINECREST.

Please get your GED instead. This is worthless. I waisted my time and money here.

Graduated from this school in 2006, come to find out 8 years later this school is no longer accredited. So my diploma is basically worthless. Majority of school's don't accept it.

Im not sure why so many people say this school is a scam. I graduated in 2003 went on to Hillsborough Community College from there I went to Nova Southeastern University. I did have trouble with South University but since I already had college credits they took those and Im finishing up my degree in Nursing. It can be done just make sure you go to a community college first and you will be fine.

I paid and completed all the exams in 2004. After I got that piece of paper with my name on it I was still a high school drop out. Please get your GED instead. I was cheated.

I attended American Academy I received my High School Diploma in 2001. I attended a Technical College with no problem. What you must understand that this Diploma only allow you to go to a Technical or Vocational College. The reason most Colleges want except it because they can't prove how you got it or if someone took the test
for you. I am a Pharmacy Technician/Certified Nurse Assistant. For those of you who are trying to go for something bigger than a normal Career than you must receive you GED if you can no longer attend Public High School. And when you do apply at a School do not tell them how you received your Diploma. Allow the American Academy to explain your classes to that school you applied to. iI was done for me. I rate them 4 stars. Just because you can't attend a University. But whatever you looking to gain you may can find it in a Technical College. Good Luck to you all.

This school is a scam..please do not waste your money or time. I attended there back in 2005, and now its 2012 and I have to go and get my GED because this school is not accrediated and most jobs & colleges will not accept it. Its sad and frsutrasting to find out this information 10yrs later after I tried applying for a good city job that I got denied for because of my supposed to be "real" High School Diploma. If they say there accredaited, its not always true please do your own research before you get screwed out your money.

I agree sham if i would of known that no major universities accept this diploma i would of never spent my money. so disapointed.

This school is legit but they are not nationally accredited; they need to seek NATIONAL accreditation. The national accreditation (which they do not have) can allow graduates to attend any college or university of their choice. At the moment students can only attend very few college/universities.

Very good school, cheap and can get you accepted into Miami Dade and some other big colleges. This diploma does not work for most colleges, so do your research before you try to say scam.

I went to AMERICAN ACADEMY myself and actually liked my exprience while in attendence. I've only ran into one College myself that would not let me attend but it was only after they had already approved me for $134,000 EDU, it was their Admstrv who denied me. It was because of the some private School Codes not being excepted. NOT ALL COLLEGES GIVE YOU This ISSUE, SOME WILL TAKE THEIR SCHOOL CODE.

this school was a lie and not worth it at all

I went through the whole program and finally had my high school diploma. I applied at many colleges only to find out that it wasn't accreditted like they said it was. Needless to say I was very dissappointed! To everyone out there considering American Academy, please don't  do it. Dont waste your time, money, and hopes! It's a scam.
