Julington Creek Elementary School Reviews
My two daughters love the school and their teachers. The teachers have high expectations for students, which is teaching personal responsibility to our kids. This gives them a high level of satisfaction when they have success, and an equal level of disappointment when they don't have success. Some nights we are loaded down with homework, and some nights it is light. Overall, there is a good balance. We came from another school district to the north, and the teachers there were great as well, but seemed to have their hands tied because many students were unprepared, and expectations were less stringent. My children are not on an IED plan, so I can't speak to the other parent's issue.
My daughter has recently transferred to this school from another school, within the same district after we had just moved to Saint Johns area from MA, a year ago. I have only good words about how great her teachers have been so far. They made my daughter feel very comfortable, even though she is very shy and every time I have a concern, the teachers would respond to my emails right away. I could have not asked for better communication with her teachers and I feel they do everything they can to really offer her a great education. My daughter really enjoys the school and was able to accommodate quickly mainly because of her two wonderful teachers. I have only met the Assistant Principal briefly but she seems to be by far, the best Assistant Principal I've seen so far! Everybody at the Front Office is also very nice! And the Principal is even helping in the mornings with the drop off! Very impressed so far with what I've seen and we are truly looking forward to making lots of great memories here for the next few years!
Number 1 in Florida isn't difficult to achieve when your competition is the worst of the worst. After recently moving here from out of state, we couldn't be more disappointed with this excuse of a school. Our daughter is on an IEP and has been completely mistreated since we arrived in January. The staff are secretive and robotic and have made us EXTREMELY uncomfortable. We came from an outstanding school out of state where we had a phenomenal relationship with the district. At Julington Creek, you can be sure your child's best interests are not a concern for this school. They've made it very clear that they have no interest in working with us and do not care about my daughter's success. We are already considering moving again if we can't transfer into Cunningham because our daughter is having such anxiety since enrolling in this school. I truly wish I could give this school a negative rating because I've never seen a school as terrible as Julington Creek!
Julington Creek is like a family. I love the staff and parents and the education is top notch.
