The FCAT is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students are assessed in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science, and in grades 4, 8, and 10 in writing.

How is it Scored?

Students score at one of five levels, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3 (grade level).

Paul Kantorski: This is a wonderful school! The staff is caring, consistent, knowledgeable and always ready to help. The teachers my granddaughter has had for her three years at Sandpiper have all been top notch and the office staff is courteous and efficient. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a consistently A school.

Sandpiper Elementary School

kris: my son's teacher (first name starts with a J) is a very unpleasant woman and doesn't seem to care at all about teaching or the well-being of the students. I will be so happy when this school year is over. Thank goodness my son is still a happy and smart kid, in spite of a horrible teacher.
