School Values or Mission Statement

Provided by
headmaster Jack Hudson
At Chandler Academy our primary concern is for the individual needs of each student. We test the student to determine thier strengths and weaknesses then design a curriculum that will enable the student to work on thier ability level. We encourage the student to go as fast and far in thier strong subjects while giving them the help and support they need in thier weak subjects. Our goal is to have every student working at or above grade level in all subjects without the stress or boredom associated in a traditional school setting. We want to instill a life-long love of learning and acceptance by stressing the fact that all students learn at thier own pace and in thier own way.
We also have a highly academic  pre-school  with a Pre-k 3, and 4 year old program that gives younger children a strong foundation that will help them succeed in elementary school. The pre-school is a balanced teacher led and independant play environment featuring learning centers, Spanish, phonics/reading, math, brain-based exercises and parachute activities.

My son is a student of the very excellent Chandler Academy.  When my husband and I enrolled him into the school, he was failing four subjects and was on the road to failing for the current school year.  Chandler Academy's headmaster/curriculum expert immediately began testing our son and identified where the current system of education was failing.  Our son was put on a tailored curriculum to address his individual strengths and weaknesses.  We are happy to report that our son is confident happy and excelling.  It won't be long until he is above his grade level.  Chandler Academy is focused on getting your child from where they are, to their full potential.  My husband and I wished we had found them sooner.  Mrs. K. "This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
