Capitol View is a prime example of how families need to do more personal research about public schools in low-income areas before deciding not to attend them. If one only read the statistics about income, one might assume Capitol View is not a successful school.
But a visit to the school and a look at their test scores blows that out of the water. Capitol View does more with its limited financial resources than many schools in high-income parts of town. It is a safe, loving and enriching place to send a child. I wish my family were zoned for Capitol View so we could send our 5-year-old boy there! My opinion of this school couldn't be more positive.
