Dr. D: I was a special guest at this school last year and would describe my experience as nothing short of atrocious. The students appeared insubordinate and possessed little self control or self respect. The staff seemed quite segregated and poorly prepared to deal with the chaos the students produced. There was no shortage of students swearing. I expected a different experience from a school that touts their appreciation for the their namesake.

I thought the school would be a good experience, but my 13 yr old 7th grade year was a horrible experience. The staff cant maintain control with all the bulling and cliks. Wont send her back and wouldn't make referral.

I just recently had to transfer from this school. Don't get me wrong though, I was in all challenge classes. But the spanish was to the point where they were practicing colors and I was forming essays. My friend also changed because the facility was unacceptable. But CSK is a great place to make friends for your child. I am so lucky I went there because I met the three best friends I will always have for life.

I loved the school when I visited it. The staff was not only very knowledgeable and friendly, but they pushed the young women to excellence. I simply adore the school.

Amissa: Well at first I thought that this school was a good one, until my daughter come home every day and tell me that the girls are fighting every day and some of the girls are with child. And to be honest some of the teacher really don't know how to conduct the class or talk to the kids. My daughter can home and told me something the teacher did wrong and so i had to correct him. So if you want to say the school is bad then it is and if you want to say that the school is good then it is good. but for me and me seeing things and for my daughter coming home and telling me things I really dont care for that school at all.

this school ha definitely come along and i think in a few years it will truly show succes. as for now its an experiment and for high school its at a steady pace. but all in all no school is perfect! ultimately im proud to say i am a high schooler that atteneds c.s.k.y.w.l.a.

I truly think that this is an excellent school. Yet I think they could do better with the high school. Yes it's wonderful us young ladies have to wear uniform. But, we should be able to have a little more freedom where we get to experience a taste of regular highschool as far as pep rallies, prom, homecoming WEEK and things of that nature.

This is my grandaughter first year and everyday I ask her how does she like the school;she loves it. She says to me just knowing that she attend a school with a name like Coretta Scott King makes her want to suceed and she just to give back to Mrs King and because she lost her husband for all of us. She want to suceed in this school. I would love to see this school bring inetiqute for young girls to learn. Learning how to carry them selves like young ladies and how important it is to be treated like a lady,I would also like to see them invite the boys over for programs or for lunch a special occasion. I want TENNIS for the girls... Yes Tennis .. Learning how to sit ,dress,and feel special and how to even date the do and don't. Learning how to be ayoung lady instead of fighting like dog annd cats. Young ladies don't do just a thing. This is a need all around us just not inCoretta Scott School but all

i think a single gender school is a great idea it keeps the girls more concentrated on their work then boys.On the other hand i think they should have more interaction with the boys school because my daughterr gets bored and slacks on her work without interaction.For example last year they had no interaction til the end of the year and that was because they were graduating,so i say they should interract with the boys more especially the high schoolers.

I think this school could do better. There are alot of fights and problems. My daughter hates it but has to stay for another year. The parents aren't included in some of the things they need to be except for occasional PTSA meetings. I think, personaly, it would behoove them to get a more trained staff and that they should get everything with the facility and what not together. My child comes home once in awhile with an inaccurate grade report and it goes on her record. My child will not be going to this school next year but I am pretty sure they will get it together by next year. Parents, please veiw the school before sending your child.
