Holy Spirit Preparatory School Reviews

Please read all the postings before you decide to send your children here.  There were many more comments that seem to have been deleted from this space.  That is not fair.  After 4 years our family was  very unhappy with the level of instruction and environment HSP offers.  Teachers come and go every year and seem to leave under secretive circumstances.  This school is NOT part of the Atlanta Catholic  Archdiocese.  Don’t walk away…Run away…

This is just not a good environment. The teaching is subpar and the administration is atrocious. I don't want to throw the phrase "cult-like" around lightly, but...

Excellent school - our children love the size and the ability to be involved with somany activities. The teachers have all been wonderful. A very close and committed parent community.

Holy Sprit Prep School is a school that has a warm, comfortable and safe eniornment. This school is worth hearing about because once entering you feel welcomed.

This school is challenged in the quality of teachers hired and their tenure.  The atheletics are also weak with very limited facilities.  We were disappointed with our choice to send our children here.

Terrible School Experience. We were very disappointed with this school. This school is so over the top on Catholic religion it’s scary.  There was one teacher who told our kids and classmates if they listen to rock music and go out on dates they won’t go to heaven. No wonder kids today are moving away from religion. At $20,000/year per child this was the worst investment we ever made.   Our kids both needed tutors to get through the SATs.  The sports program is a joke.  Everyone shoved into a small gym and the cow pasture for a baseball field.

If you want a balanced catholic school experience you may want to consider other schools. We hear Blessed Trinity is good.

This is an outstanding school stressing a classical Catholic education.  Elementary education is based on an accelerated curriculum on a grade ahead model.  The high school has been selected the past two years as one of the top 50 Catholic High Schools in the U.S.  Graduates go one to the top colleges and military academies.

Catholicism and ethical principles permeate the curriculum, being taught in all disciplines, not just theology and philosophy courses.

Parental involvement is extremely high, supporting a strong sense of community throughout the K through 12 grades.  Many activities are sponsored by the school to bring parents together from social events to lecture series.

The school offers an impressive array of extracurricular activities, including sport and arts programs.  Many programs start at the kindergarten level.
