Westlake High School Reviews

I think that students are allowed to roar the school grounds to freely
without any supervision at all. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. This is causing the school to look as if the students are in control.  They are allowed to be on the internet at any time, facebook and any other site they wish using all type of language.

Obviously, the school by itself is not responsible for teaching our children.  I strongly disagree with the parent who refers to Westlake as being horrible.  What we must do is encourage our students to be focused, professional and respectful. When students show up to class on time it teaches them decipline and prepares them for the real world when the time comes for them to show up for work or any other important appointment. My daughter is an honor student at Westlake, she also plays the violin in the Westlake orchestra and through the dedication of several of her teachers she had an opportunity to play at the Governor's mansion, and for Mrs. Clinton during the elections as well as being given the opportunity to witness history in the making, by attending the Presidential enauguration. All of our schools can be excellent schools if parents participate more rather than complain and place blame on our teachers.
Respectfully,

This school is horrible. Please do not go to Westlake! It is a very bad school overall! PLEASE take my word. The teachers cannot teach at all and do nto really want to listen to the parents. If student are late to class, they will let a gate down to blick them from going to class. What kind of stuff is that?

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"

Guidelines:

  • Please be thorough and specific when reviewing a school and try to describe several aspects of the school, rather than focusing on just one. Reviews should be between 10 and 150 words.
  • When it comes to using a teacher or administrator's real name, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." If you have complaints or unresolved issues, please contact the school directly. Don't think of this as an opportunity to "vent" and do not state data or facts unless you are sure they are accurate.
  • Do not use offensive language or content - all inappropriate reviews will not be accepted. Write clearly with accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Do not write in all capital letters.
  • Parents and teachers, please write only one review for each school your children attend.
