This school is simply horrible. Most parents don't really seem to care and that feeling is evident in student behavior. I once stood outside a classroom and all I heard was the teacher yelling "be quiet" and "sit down" all to no avail to a bunch of knucklehead kids that pretended she was not even in the class. If your child is assigned to Clarkston DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO GET THEM TRANSFERRED! I remember a math teacher that tried everything in her means to reach the kids, she was a really young woman and really wanted to make a difference. She lasted a semester before getting shoved to the floor during a fight between students, she went to another school district. Who could blame her?One of the few good teachers and she could not even last a semester. Other teachers seem to be just waiting for retirement so they can just get the heck out of there and let the future inmates run the asylum. Teachers can only do so much with students and parent that have little interest in education and well-being. On my many visits to the school it seemed more like a gateway to the Dekalb County jail than a gateway to higher education.

This school's education performance is terrible and fights frequently(every other day) break out. This school will challenge your kid none whatsoever. If you want your kid to become inadequate then send him/her here. If you want them to have a way greater chance of succeeding in life, send them to another school. I know all this because I'm transferring from here to another school.
