Indian Creek ES is an incredible school which many would not believe even exists in the US without actually visiting it. The diversity statistics do not even begin to describe this school as the percents of Black and White students fail to show that the majority of these students come from countries spanning across Africa and Asia as refugees and immigrants. Actually, only about one third of the students are American born African American. Many of the statistically black students at the school come from Ethiopia, Sudan, Burundi, Somalia, etc. and the white students are generally Russian, Bosnian, Iraqi, etc. So, the diversity here is actually an amazing mix of cultures form around the world. The staff that works here is comprised of a dedicated number of teachers who wish to change the lives of its students and allow them to step foot into the blessings we find ourselves with in America.

I taught here and throughly enjoyed it. It has been a few years, but I know how hard teachers work at this school. There is cadre of very dedicated teachers who put their all into it. The diversity found in this schools adds to what makes this school a great place. It has problems don't get me wrong, but don't let the test scores fool you. A lot of success is happening at this school!
