Taliaferro County Charter School
Just disappointed that school officials would not recommend the student with the highest average for a scholarship. A young man who put forth much effort to obtain such honor did not get the recognition he deserved. When a student has worked hard to achieve or make it to the top give him the recognition he deserve to help push him a little further in life.

Taliaferro County Charter School
I have been to many graduation exercises in the last five years and Micheal Bowman delivered an excellent speech. Im disappointed that he did not receive an award from the school. He was Valedictorian of his class!!!!!! He did not get the recognition he deserved. I understand he worked extremely hard to achieve his position. Very proud of the young man but disappointed in the school.

Taliaferro County Charter School
I am an educator in the Richmond County School System. Most graduation classes in Richmond County have over 150 students. On June 5, 2013, I attended Taliaferro County High School graduation for the Class of 2013. After attending TCHS graduation, I was in dismay. This is the first time I attended a graduation where the Valedictorian of the class did not received any scholarships for having the highest average, but the salutatorian received them all. That is great, but why not recognize them both as being the "Top of the Class." The Valedictorian was barely recognized. It appears that there was a lot of favoritism going on and you really had something against this young man. I felt like the school really did not want him to be the Valedictorian. This young man gave an excellent speech (Valedictorian's Address) and I applaud him for that. This is a bad reflection on the school and does not represent the county well, but good leadership starts from the top. Very disappointed! I hope he continues to hold his head up high no matter what obstacles he may encounter. Can someone tell me what happen here?
