We were one of the lucky few to be transferred into this band new school many years back. My oldest was the first fifth grade class to graduate and now my younger two are making the treck through.  I have always been impressed with the staff and PTA presence at this school.  The prinicipal is always in the loop in and out of school.  Not only is she involved with the student body on a constant basis - but she is also a presence in the community.  I have been impressed beyond words with every teacher my children have had.  As a family we are super involved with the school, so I know first hand that the people involved with the school (parent and staff) on a daily basis care and make sure that our students are taken care of in all ways.

I would not hesitate in recommending this school and the surrounding area.  I have made life long friends of teachers, as well as PTA members.  It is a beautiful school.

My grand children go to Silver City Elementary.  From What I've seen and dealt with at the school I really like the teachers and the school.  I do have one problem, however, but I believe it's a problem at all schools. The problem is request for money and presents. I know it would be nice to give gifts on different occasions but when the child has a low income it becomes a hardship and an embarrassment for them and the family.  I wish they didn't have so many days that kids had to bring money and or gifts.  Thank you....
