Chattahoochee County High School Reviews
Chattahoochee County High School is, overall, a horrible educational experience.
Chattahoochee County High School, colloquially referred to as "ChattCo," is a highly uncultured school with very poor standards, which is very sad considering reviews from when the school first opened. Chattahoochee County High School opened in 2005 to serve the Ft. Benning and Cusseta areas. In less than eight years, the school's standards drastically dropped and now it is infested with drugs and "thugs." Being a student at Chattahoochee County High School, I am exposed to harsh conditions involving drugs, drama and other highly-uncultured children. Most are rude or extremely "ghetto," per se, and seem to not care much about their grades.
Teacher quality is fair to poor at best, although if you look hard enough, you may be able to find a few that are ready and willing to assist you in your daily, academic needs. The administrative staff are absolutely horrendous when it comes to disciplinary measures and bullying, and teachers are often known for practicing favoritism. The Social Studies Department exceeds expectation, as does the Literature Department. The Mathematics Department is absolutely horrible, and many students are failing (and the teachers do almost nothing to help, more less show sympathy).
The Board seldom allocates funds for anything academic, as they favor sports and JROTC. It's ironic. Don't you think a school should spend money on educational and instructional materials as opposed to programs that will not help you academically excel? It's disgusting, to say the least.
Overall, this school needs serious reevaluation by the Georgia Department of Education.
I don't like this school because of it's poor teachers and bad disciplinary practices. People get in trouble for no reason or people who deserve to get in trouble don't get in trouble at all. I even had relatives that went there and were kicked out because they were bullied. It's obvious that the bullies should be punished, not my relatives. Therefore, I give this school a 1 out of 5.
