I find it amazing that in the 10 years that I have been out of school that so much has changed. For example the teachers are now rewarding children for doing their school work by giving them candy! My child got 6 peices of candy simply for siting and doing what she was supposed to be doing. It is this parents beleif that students should not get rewarded with candy. What ever happened to learning being its own reward. This saying does not seem to matter to Kessler Elementary. I ask my self why do the teachers praise with candy? Is this the only way that they can get children to pay attention? We as a community should look at this and think about it.
