Barnes AcademyI love Barnes Academy. The teachers are sincere and want to see the children do well in their education, as well as, their self esteem. My child left the High School with all F's and went to all A's at Barnes, and her self esteem is a lot better. The only complaint I have is the price. It is too expensive, I hope I can keep her in there, but finances are rough right now. Otherwise, it's a great school.

Barnes AcademyLaura Daws: Barnes Academy is a breath of fresh air in Hartwell. Our daughter has excelled in every way since transferring to Barnes. Her grades have gone from straight F's to A-B Honor Role but most importantly her self esteem now soars. She is hugged and told "I love you" by her teachers on a daily basis. She is respected by her teachers and therefore respects them. In public school she was constantly ridiculed by her teachers and the only attention she received was negative, except for a very few teachers who realized her potential. It may not be their fault but it is truly a shame that the kids are so ill prepared for further education and life in Hart county. And yes they do have prayer and they say the Pledge of Allegiance. God Bless America!

Barnes Academy
1Parent: My child attended this school for a short time (one school year). I found many things misleading about the accreditations and the qualifications of the faculty. I guess most people are trusting and do not question. I was shocked when I found that the accreditation was NOT as it was explained to me, nor were the majority of the faculty at that time even college educated. I would not recommend this school.

Barnes AcademyI agree with the comment below. My child attended for one year, and only stuck that out as a lesson in commitment. The goals stated by the administration will never be reached. I do not recommend this school to anyone.

Barnes Academy
1As you can see from the comments bellow, the only people who would believe this "school" is anything short of a reform school are in dire need of an education themselves. Although their intentions are honorable, this administration clearly lacks the intellect and ability to reach their goals. A couple of children have done very well having graduated from here, however those are the ones that are bright enough on their own, that they could have made it anywhere. Most others WILL fail.
