Button Gwinnett Elementary School Reviews
The worst school I have ever seen in my life. They let my four years old babies to walk and go home because I was five minutes late. Shouldn't they call me before they do that? Very unprofessional!!!
i wanted to share that i am not happy with any of the schools i have seen and a friend of mine moved here from virginia and may be stuck here because if they move back they fear thier daughter may be so far behind she will have to repeat a grade. that is just shameful Georgia.
I moved from TX, to here when my daughter had only a month of kindergarten left. I was used to her schoolwork offering a challenge and learning new things everyday. Once here though she came home with such simple tasks for homework I did not even have to help her. Several times they only watched the magic school bus for parts of the day then colored pictures. It was mindless work. They do not have a very welcoming enviroment either. One her first day of school I was not allowed to walk her to class due to school policy. I understand the threat of strangers coming in during school hours but i had just enrolled her and I had not ever even seen her classroom. How could i be expected to be ok with just pointing my 6 year old in the right direction and hope she finds her class?! I was very disappointed with the school. Sadly as i got to know other parents and adults from here, this is a great school compared to most others in the state, so the real problem is the STATE!!! To be ok with the little amount of education is not ok and this school just proved to me that I truly took for granted the wonderful opportunity she was beign given and had me almost homeschooling her.
I went to BGE that is the best school in Hinesville. I have fun memories of my elementary school and their dedicated staff.
This school is the worst school in the state of georgia that i have every seen i am from Georgia and i have never seen a school like this one. The teachers are not parent friendly at all i do not recomend any parents to put there children in this school .If you are a parent that like to be involve in ur kids .The school never informs u on anything that is going on with ur kids. They bill u for things that ur kids never done to get charged for. The school expects ur children as young as pre k to tell u what they done wrong. The teacher have issue letting the kids eat the lunch they brought to school. In every case where we have had to take some papers to school with shot records etc they have lost them several time causing us to spending more money on them. They scare the parent with threats of calling the police on them when they can't afford to get the shot records. They inform the child that they parent isnt coming back, that they are just gone and never coming back, what the is that. They force the children to write there own punishments when not wearing the complete dress code, one day forgot a belt, oh my goodness its not that serious.
