North Cobb High School Reviews
If you are not in the Magnet Program, it stinks. It seems like if you are not in the Magnet Program, your student's success is not as important and you don't recieve the same opportunities . Especially 9th grade, it is very hard to be an informed parent. No information is sent home , not even picture order forms. Information on the website is incomplete, does not answer the who, what, when , where, how..so it is up to you to call and get an answer. Inconsistent in communication with teachers - some don't respond to email, some don't dont keep up blogs... it's very hard to feel like you are working in a partnership with the school for your child. Yet you hear all the time about parents need to be more involved. It's work to be involved here, basically just send in your money. The support for 9th graders, outside the Magnet Program, can really be seen by going to a 9th grade football game... no music, no announcer, no pictures for team, no uniforms for the cheerleaders until the 3rd game of the season, bland helmets, low attendance and frustrated parents in the stands. Yet the teams we play seem to have all that for their freshman team.
