Augusta Christian Schools Reviews
I agree with both opinions above. I have been on the "inside" and if you are rich, you've got it made. If one of the rich kids starts picking on another child...look out! That kid, (mine), is on her way out the door. My child was asked to leave and I worked there. It is not a Christian school. Public school in Columbia County is a much better option.
We are presently experiencing FALSE ADVERTISING On the part of the Talent Development program at this school. They do NOT understand any special eneds or diagnosis much less have teachers who are trained in this area. The teachers ARE experienced teachers-just not with special needs kids, they seem kind and they DO care about the kids. The TD program basically applies the regular school curriculum and rules but in a smaller environment -a teacher and a parapro in a classroom with between 4-12 kids. The teachers do NOT have a special ed degrees NOR do they have continuing ed in the areas needed to develop these children on a daily basis. They develop the IEPS without input from the parent and without input from trained professionals such as psychologists, behavioral therapists, or developmental neurologists. We wonder where the tuition (10 K per year) goes. I would consider this OPTION last as it DOES not deliver what is claims it does. Most parents are so relieved to be out of the public school system, that they pay regardless and then have no where left to go. This is NOT Christian and besides being a poor option for the child, it robs the parents and leaves a marred face on "Christianity" for those who are only beginning their walk.
The worst school experience my child ever had. Politically driven with bad Administration. Please consider any other private school before applying to this one.
