Carolyn Barron Montessori is located in Newnan, GA. It is a private, montessori school that serves 64 students in grades PK,K-8. Carolyn Barron Montessori is coed (school has male and female students) and is nonsectarian in orientation. The school belongs to the American Montessori Society.

This is an exceptional school. It has a committed, highly educated, and very experienced board of directors at the helm. They are supported by a director with decades of experience and a proven track record. The staff and teachers are very experienced and passionate about the students. All these factors coupled with an intense focus on the Montessori method and the joy of learning promote an excellent learning environment. Our children, as well as their peers, are far ahead of their private and public school counterparts. While other private schools are struggling and have shrinking enrollment, CBMS is quickly growing because results speak for themselves.

I absolutely love this school. My son has been attending this school for 2 years. In that two years he has developed such a love of learning and respect. The directresses and staff really care about these children. I wouldn't my child to be taught anywhere else.
I love CBMS and hope my family can make it work for my children to stay here as long as possible. Maybe they'll have a high school by the time my children get there! This is a very nurturing environment with very high standards for behavior and knowledge. I assume the negative comments were from problems in the past or with individual children. I am around the school often and see thriving children in all the classes.

As time have changed , the modaration of learning took place. I have choosen carolyn Barron Montessori school for my child to build my child with respectable characteristics.I found through this school new ways to build these characteristics for my child. The teachers really care about these childrens.
Our kids started with a wonderful experience and had a wonderful teacher for 2 years. However, once she left (because she was essentially pushed out, like all students or teachers who dare disagree with the horrendous administrator here), our experiences spiralled down in a hurry. The principles of a Montessori are wonderful but the self-serving administrator and the loosey goosey "board of directors/friends" has driven this previously highly respected school absolutely down into the dumps.
Over the last few years, many parents have pulled their children out of this school due to students not meeting academic standards and the poor adminisration/leadership that was shown. One of my children had to repeat a grade when they transfered to another school. Unfortunately, my child was not the only one. Also, safety is a big concern. I caught my child and their friend outside unattended a few times and was told by the teacher that it was ok because it was a learning experience for them. All children should be supervised at all times in this day and age.
