New Life Academy of Excellence

New Life Parent: WE LOVE NEW LIFE ACADEMY WE HAVE BEEN GIVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE OUR CHILD RECEIVE A PRIVATE SCHOOL TYPE FEELING IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.  ALTHOUGH NEW LIFE ACADEMY IS NOT PERFECT THEY HAVE TRIED VERY WELL TO MAKE CHANGES DESPITE THE CHALLENGES THE SCHOOL FACE WITH TRYING TO PLEASE EVERYONE. I APPLAUD THE ENTIRE ADMINISTRATION, STAFF AND TEACHERS THEY ARE ALL GREAT INDIVIDUALS WHO TAKE THE TIME WITH OUR CHILDREN SO THAT THEY CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE AND TO TOP IT OFF THE EDUCATION IS FREE WHO CAN COMPLAIN KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK NEW LIFE!!!

Norcross Parent: My daughter attended this school from Kindergarten to beginning of 2nd grade.  Academically the school is good.   Everything else about the school was a lot less desirable, and I finally pulled my daughter out this year.

Teachers are great, but the rest of the staff is pretty difficult to deal with.   In first grade they assigned way too much home work.   Principal is very pleasant, but has a policy to NOT reply to any parent emails.  That's a shame in  my opinion.  PTA's only goal is to raise money for school.  

There is no cafeteria, so you have to pack lunch each day.  There is no proper play ground.  There is no PE.  School has 30 minutes of Karate ONCE a week and that is considered PE.  There are no other enrichment activities.  Morning pickup and afternoon drop off is a nightmare where rules change frequently without prior notice.

I had lunch with my daughter a lot last year.  Teachers walked around the lunch hall with loud speakers yelling at kids and still the kids were rowdy and loud.  

Their goal seems to be to get as much kids enrolled as possible, even when they are having a difficult time managing one branch, they just opened a second one.  If your only choice is Norcross elementary school or New Life, I would pick New life due to better teachers.  Or move out of this area [which is what I am ending up doing].

sonja hales: my daughter has been attending new life since 3rd grade and we love the school,the entire staff is hands on and i cant wait till the new year begin middle school at new life

My son attended school in'08-'09 and he loved it! His frist grade teacher, Mrs.London, was the best!! We enjoyed the "private school" feel of NLAE

I am very happy that my son is at NLAE , I thank teachers for the hard work they do, the entire staff is friendly always with an smile . ones again thank you NLAE.
