About This School
Alternative schools are public schools that offer nontraditional education for students whose needs cannot be met in a regular, special education, or vocational school. While alternative schools are distinct from regular, special education, and vocational schools in their teaching approach or classroom environment, they can provide similar services and/or curriculum for students. Alternative schools include schools for potential dropouts, residential treatment centers for substance abuse, schools for chronic truants, and schools for students with behavioral problems. Floyd County Education Center Reviews
The alternative school is amazing it has helped me in school so much. I love how all the teachers actually care about our education and want us to succeed in life and don't just care about getting us through the day so they can go home with there family. I wish public school was like the alternative school because school starts back tomorrow and for once in my life I'm actually looking forward to going back to school. I love every one of my teachers and the principal at the floyd county Alternative school. (Edited for grammar by Education.com staff.)
