About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Magnet schools promote student diversity because they are open to students outside the normal school district boundaries and often attract high caliber students through competitive programs. Marshpoint Elementary School Reviews
I have had several children attend Marshpoint Elementary. The facility is top notch. The teachers are the most dedicated, caring people I have ever met. My children did well and were loved. I felt welcome there since day 1. Communication is excellent. My only observation has been that since they are not a school of at risk students they get very little for resources. The PTA provides much of the technology and other resources so fundraising is important.
We heard how Marshpoint Elementary School was "the elementary school." Apparently, we were listening to the wrong people. What a huge disappointment!!!! Our child was bored and miserable at this school. We never felt welcome there and were treated rudely. We felt this school had an unfriendly atmosphere and they did not want parent involvement. Too many burned out, old teachers there that do not enjoy children at all. Too many work sheets "busy work" and not enough instruction time. Not a good experience for a young student. This is a great inclusion school, but that is about all.
