Teasley Elementary School Reviews

My kids love it!

By , a Parent on

The principal is AMAZING, many of the parents are very involved and the PTA and PAWS Foundation do so much for Teasley.  Both my boys have had wonderful, caring and supportive teachers.  I could honestly not ask for a better elementary school experience for them.  The important part is that my kids agree.  They love Teasley.

My experience has been all positive following my child's first year at the school.  I'll ben honest that I wasn't sure what to expecet going in and was pleasantly surprised.  Parental involvement is very high.  Administration and staff are all very engaging with parents and seem happy to be there.

We have had a wonderful experience at Teasley. The teachers are warm and caring, the administrative team is efficient and professional, and the students love their school. I've been impressed with accomplishments of the PTA and PAWS Foundation. Teasley is lucky to have a Foundation, as not every public elementary school has one,  that  can provide additional funds and assistance to the school/students. Couldn't be happier being a Teasley Tiger!

This has been a wonderful school for my two kids.  We have just loved every teacher and the new administration has been a huge positive!  We love the diversity and feel the education has been great!

The school was tolerable last year, but with a new principal has come a slew of issues. They seem more interested in running a school like a jail. It is discipline over teaching. They send letters home about unruly children yet they have little PE, are forced into silent lunches and lose recess for the slightest issues.

If your child has an IEP, you would be better off sticking them in a closet; they would be better off and get the same amount of attention. I am told he is exceeding his IEP and no longer needs it, however his spelling, writing and reading comprehension have gotten worse, not better.

We do what we can at home but after 6 hours of school trying to get them through 4 hours of homework is exhausting on all parties. They are told to come home and get on websites to do homework and finish schoolwork. I do not have internet at home, so I am told to take them to the library. Yeah, that is an easy task when your work shift is 12 hours a pop. How about we get the instruction they need at the school.

One son's teacher won't let him get his glasses if he forgets them in his bag. Other students steal my children's pencils, markers, etc. They tell her and she does nothing. They get in trouble for not getting their work done. This has to be the worst school I have ever seen and I have lived all over. Oh and don' t expect the teachers to respond to notes; they won' t, but they do attempt to discipline parents.

This may very well be the worst school I've ever sent a child to.  I've raised 3 kids, and have lived in 4 states.  This school is the epitome (I bet the teachers cant even pronounce that word) of what is wrong with education in America.  The principal reminds me of the principal from the movie "Uncle Buck".  If you want your child to coast through elementary school, not challenged, and his or her potential wasted and discouraged, then this is the school for you.  If, however, you want your child to receive and education and be encouraged to succeed, stay far away from this school.

I loved Teasley Elementary! All of the teachers were great and helpful. We always had good meals, and the classes were spacious.

The facilities may not be the best, but the teachers are! I have been very happy with the care and attention my child has received at this school. My son also loves this school and his teachers and that says a lot!

Everyone in Teasley Elementary school is committed to the success of each student.  Parents can become involved in so many ways.  The PTA is very active and is always inviting parents to support the many different activities.  The school is older but has the true feel of a neighborhood school.  I am thrilled to have my children at Teasley.

I've live in 3 different complexes here in Smyrna, but you can bet I make sure it's in Teasley District.  Teasley is by far one of the greatest school to have your kid place in. You wouldn't believe how organized the kids are and parent participation over whelming.

The facilities are poor for this area of Cobb County.  Trailers out front, shabby play area, rarely clean campus combine to give a dingy air to this once fine school.
