About This School
Alternative schools are public schools that offer nontraditional education for students whose needs cannot be met in a regular, special education, or vocational school. While alternative schools are distinct from regular, special education, and vocational schools in their teaching approach or classroom environment, they can provide similar services and/or curriculum for students. Alternative schools include schools for potential dropouts, residential treatment centers for substance abuse, schools for chronic truants, and schools for students with behavioral problems. South Fulton Crossroads/Second Chance Programs Reviews
I have been a parent for over 18 years now, and in my time of parenting I have NEVER visited a school that was so unorganized and mismanaged. At the this school the students seem to run the adults (security included). I witnessed students cursing out loudly to other studend AND to staff members, hitting, fighting, a lot of running down the hallways and disrespect was shown to and from students while on my visits. The teachers seem to not care, THUS making the students NOT CARE. The school reminded of something off of movie. Most students appear to come from broken homes where no one is there to encourage them or to simply hug them and tell them that they are loved. When children lack that they can become angry and display this type of anger while in school. I believe that this school needs to have a counselor in place for every 5 students in attendance. If you get a chance please just take a moment and visit this campus. It is SAD to say to say the least.
