Ware County High School Reviews
Ware County High School is a good school
All of my children have gone to this school. They are also all honor students. In reference to the previous review, the school that was closed here was done so because Ware County could not afford both schools. The reason their scores were so high was because the only kept the best and the brightest out there. Any student that became a behavior problem or was not up to their expectations, was kicked out of that school. Of course that student then goes to WCHS because they have to go to school somewhere. It is easy to manipulate the data when you get to pick and choose what students you keep.
THIS SCHOOL IS A SUB-STANDARD SCHOOL IT HAS NOT MADE AYP BUT ONE YEAR SINCE THE FEDERAL GOV'T IMPLEMENTED THE NCLB MANDATES. THERE WAS ONE EXCELLENT HIGH SCHOOL IN THIS DISTRICT AND IT WAS CLOSED BECAUSE ADMIN DIDN'T SEE THE NEED IN HAVING TWO HIGH SCHOOLS IN THIS DISTRICT. THE SCHOOL THAT WAS CLOSED WAS RANKED AMONG THE TOP 10 IN THE STATE YEAR AFTER YEAR AND IN THE TOP 100 IN THE NATION. SO MUCH FOR EXCELLENCE.
