About the HSA
What is it?
The Hawaii State Assessment (HSA) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in reading and math in grades 3 through 8 and 10.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored at four levels: well below proficiency, approaches proficiency, meets proficiency or exceeds proficiency. The goal is for students to meet or exceed the proficiency level.
