Maemae Elementary School Reviews
Best school according to my two kids!! All for free!
My two kids love this school!! The teachers are absolutely the very best for a public school. Mae' mae feels like attending a private school. The school and its staff are very nurturing and challenge the children to be the best that they can be.
I have worked as a volunteer for my two kids and their classmates when they were both in kindergarten. It was amazing how the kids improved in reading from day one when school started, until the day they completed the school year!! Amazing!!
They also excel in math versus many other public school on Oahu.
I think they may have a problem dealing with children who do not fit the norm, such as a white child, black child, or a child with mild learning challenges such as dyslexia (up to 20% of all children will have a mild learning disability.) This school does well on delivering good test scores, but is this a good learning environment for every child? From personal experience I can state that not all the teachers are good, and you cannot switch teachers if your child is stuck with a bad teacher.
I think that the school is a beautiful place to be and the student love it there. I know that when they graduate, they will miss the school a lot!!
