About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Kua O KA la - Pcs School Reviews
Truly incredible!! This school provides an excellent education for students "where they are". In a regular, public school classroom, some students progress faster than their peers, others have struggles and need to move a little slower; however the structure of the regular classroom does not allow for these students to be supported, accommodated to ensure their academic success. Kua O Ka La Virtual Academy has a wonderful learning atmosphere in which the kumus (teachers) are able to facilitate an academic environment in which each student (K-9) are able to learn, grow, and succeed! My child (3rd grade), who has never liked the regular public school (k-2) and having just barely done the minimum, now thrives!! He is happy to go to school each morning, where he has teachers who support his growth and encourage him to do his best. He now has straight A's, and knows the content of the lessons that have been presented. Unbelievable!! I am thrilled to have access to the perfect school setting for my child to achieve success! Thank you Kua O Ka La. Aloha nui loa ~
