Please use this forum to share any information about the strengths and weaknesses of this school that you think would be helpful to parents who are considering this school for their children. We've provided them with the hard data but this is a place where they can get a sense of the school's culture and environment. Your review will be read and posted by our team within a few days if it meets our guidelines.
Example reviews:
"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."
"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
Guidelines:
-
Please be thorough and specific when reviewing a school and try to describe several aspects of the school, rather than focusing on just one. Reviews should be between 10 and 150 words.
-
When it comes to using a teacher or administrator's real name, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Reviews containing negative comments or accusations about named individuals or individuals identified by title, such as "the principal", will not be posted. If you have complaints or unresolved issues, please contact the school directly. Don't think of this as an opportunity to "vent" and do not state data or facts unless you are sure they are accurate.
-
Do not use offensive language or content - all inappropriate reviews will not be accepted. Write clearly with accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Do not write in all capital letters.
-
Parents and teachers, please write only one review for each school your children attend.
-
Students must be 14 years of age or older in order to write reviews. Students' names will never be displayed for privacy reasons.

I am hypoglycemic and chose to not eat lunch for an entire school year in order to fit in a mandatory class. I wake up at 4am every day to take an "Early Bird" class to graduate on time so i never got a morning meal. I have 2 college credits for Lewis and Clark Community college trough Vocational welding which i received Welder of the year. (yep! they gave me a plastic clock!) My Only dream is to fight for this country in the United States Marine Corps to keep our freedoms safe. I never planed to go to Harvard. I love to work hard with the hands god gave me and i work every chance i get . I could not advance any further in math with the curriculum provided. I did not pass the final i was told since i was a half a credit short i was not allowed to walk with my class at graduation. i have to spend another summer at school just to get my diploma. a once in a life opportunity is denied because i did not meet the standards. To Administration I am just another number that fell trough the crack. if they say no enough and ignore the students long enough they will have no more problems so they think. I was able to drop out 3 years ago, but i chose to go all the way even if i did not get help. This is an educational System NOT A BUSINESS. District 11 is Apathetic towards there students until they are risking looking bad or about to get in trouble. Thank you Alton high for not caring! these students where not made into educated adults, they where formed into inpatient children who are wondering around this country! I Am getting my diploma and taking my tax money elsewhere. These hands are the hands of a laborer and I will never give up till i am forced to stop. You can stand me up at the gates of hell and i wont back down.
