Belle Valley Elementary School-North Reviews
it is a old school
This school is a perfect example of why school choice is needed! First of all, it is run like a boot camp -- "Sit down, shut up, don't speak, etc." There are a FEW (and I mean very few) really kind, compassionate teachers, but by the time my son hit 3rd grade his luck had run out. The administrators here profess to care about children . . . um, that is until the child's parents dare to speak up or question anything. Then, they simply view you as a threat rather than partners in the child's education. While volunteering in my child's class, I witnessed precious little kindergartners being spoken to SO demeaningly and harshly that I was saddened and appalled that evidently this is just accepted as "okay" by the admin. No one, big or small, should be spoken to like that, but it's ALL about being condescending and humiliating here. That's their form of "motivation" to the students! They see themselves as the "professionals" and parents as nitwits who don't know anything, and it's this arrogance that "WE know better" that made me remove my child and homeschool! I couldn't be happier with my decision, although we will forever have a bad taste in our mouths from this horrible experience.
