Brickton Montessori School Reviews
I remember from the very first day of school that this school was definitely different. Children treated each other with respect - no chaos but more importantly there was purpose. It wasn't a machine of putting out the high test takers or the most academically challenging curriculum. No it was more than that. Finally a school that looks at each child individually. Teachers who work as a team. No it isn't perfect but there isn't a single school that is perfect. Brickton teaches children to be leaders - that every person has a voice and we need to respect and invite the difference of opinions. Learning about our world begins with the senses and can be and will be fun. Children are not simply told that adding numbers gives you the result that you are told. The children know this result to be true because they have performed the computation with materials. They have seen it with their own eyes. Children are not encouraged to sit and listen but to ask questions searching for the solutions themselves. They learn from each other and the world in which they live. That is what sets Brickton apart..that is what makes it so special.
