Review Edwards Elementary School
Recent Reviews
The hiring practices are questionable. There has not been a consistant staff in 5 years. There is no sense of community because the teachers are changed out every 3 years.
The LSC meetings occur at times that are not convinient for parents. They are held during the school day, usually around 10 in the morning. Working parents can't attend. Teachers can't attend. It seems that there is a selection process to be on the LSC rather than having it open to the community. As a parent, I would have voted in a new principal for my children, but my boss did not allow me the time off.
With all the programs the school receives, I cannot check my child's progress online. The website is outdated and useless. Discipline rarely occurs on an official level. The teachers who control the class, do it well - there is little help from an official level.
Bottom line:
Go to the charter school down the street. I believe it is called UNO
