About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Magnet schools promote student diversity because they are open to students outside the normal school district boundaries and often attract high caliber students through competitive programs. Gallistel Elementary Language Academy Reviews
Gallistel Elementary Language Academy is overcrowded and outdated. CPS needs to be more concerned about providing a better learning environment for its students than opening another school on a toxic 6 lane busy street where predators have easy access to the skyway. Typical CPS nonsense
i think this school is very good school if your looking for a school this is yours :)
This school is by far the worst I have ever come across. They not only fall short academically, but professionally as well. They make it hard for me to enjoy my children's school experience and most teachers my children have are horrible teachers. They try to send my children to special needs class, but I think they need to teach it. I am moving soon just so my children can go to a better school and we can get a fresh start. I'd give them no stars, but hey, they do have a few good teachers.
I think they should have an art room. My daughter complains she does not do arts and crafts that much.
I have gone to Gallistel in my childhood and now my kids are going and I believe that Gallistel is a great school.
The teachers really understand what each kid in the whole class needs to know.
Many children in that school including mine have recieved many awards like the Principals's List, A Honor Roll, etc.
And the best thing is that the kids in the class learn many things and have fun at the same time, so then the children are actually looking forward towards learning.
Gallistel Students Are Prepared
I have had nieces, nephews, and my kids attend Gallistel Elementary Language Academy since 1989, and after all these years everyone has enjoyed their experience there. The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, they seem to really care about the students and are willing to help. Their test scores for graduating 8th graders have been great and I feel that when they graduate these kids are prepared for High School. I do believe that there should be more parent involvement, but overall it is a great school, within a caring community.
I would not recommend this school to ANYONE. The administrators are uncaring and unapproachable. The teachers are mediocre at best. They need some new ideas and new personalities to improve this depressing atmosphere.
