Georges Sunshine Preschool and Kindergarten

My daughter has been attending Sunshine Preschool since she was a two year old and is now in the three year old room (1.5 yrs).  The teachers are warm and caring and the population served is ethnically diverse.  The teachers show consistent respect to the children and actively extend themselves to families.  I have had some concerns with very young children being expected to sit for long stretches in the morning, with some limit on freedom of movement.  That being said, they have well defined play areas in the classroom and work closely with the children.  The curriculum is traditional but effective (not particularly emergent) and the children spend quality time outdoors during warmer weather, either on walks or in the adjacent playlot.  I would recommend the school, especially for the flexibility and warmth of the staff.
