Murray Elementary Language Academy
ThelmaT: Our daughter is in kindergarten at Murray Language Academy in Chicago, IL, and we've been very pleased with the school. The kindergarten teachers are exceptional, and it appears that the school leadership is strong and motivated. The principal is frequently seen outside of the school greeting students and parents in the mornings, and there are monthly PTO meetings in which he is heavily involved. The PTO is very active, which is always a good thing, and there are other organizations around the school aimed at fundraising and providing extra options and activities for the children, as well. The language program at the school is also quite good, and diverse. Our daughter is in Chinese, and although this is the first year of the program, she is quite excited about it and is learning the basics. At this age, I think that excitement and interest are the most important things to teach a child about school!
