Joliet Montessori School

Carrie Conley: Let me start my saying when I was a young girl I attended 2 yrs @ JMS. When my son was 3 & 4, he attended 2yrs. He was able to skip kindergarten upon entering public school & he has honors classes in HighSchool. Fast forward 10 more yrs and I enrolled my daughter for 2yrs @ JMS. Although she is well advanced from most of her fellow kindergarten peers (she reads & writes cursive), the public school system does not recognize Montessori as a certified school they would not let us test her to advance to 1st grade where she belongs. JMS did a wonderful job not only educating my children but readying them for the future. I will still recommend JMS to anyone willing to listen!

unknown: So disappointed. Personally would not recommend this school.  After several years of my children attending this school I had them tested, academically from an outside learning facility and found they were years, yes, years behind where they should be and was informed if I was going to transfer them to another school I should make sure the school had the resources available to assist them.  I found a new school and love it! I paid a lot of money for this education and unfortunately am no longer attending but still paying for tutoring services to bring them up to speed.  Joliet Montessori did not benefit my children. I wish I could speak of a better outcome, unfortunately, it was not an ideal learning enviornment  for them. They are catching up and are loving their new school.

Sue Bebar: Joliet Montessori School has provided a nurturing safe environment where both my child have flourished academically and socially.  I feel blessed to have been able to provide them with such an incredible start in their educational career.
