Pythagoras Childrens Academy Reviews
Wonderful school! Very close-knit, personable and loving environment. Great academics. Awesome teachers. Small class sizes. Strong moral foundation. We love it here!
Awesome school! So welcoming and family-oriented. Kids love going here. We love seeing them so happy around their friends, priests and teachers. The best thing about this school is the small classroom sizes. Teachers customize their instruction for each individual student. PCA is truly a wonderful institution.
Our kids come home so happy and well-disciplined from Pythagoras Children's Academy. They have built such strong friendships and relate everything they do with their school friends, teachers and priests. The teachers and priests are very loving and caring towards each child, and we have received immediate responses to any concerns we may have. In fact, on different occasions, teachers have brought things about our children to our attention that they noticed (both strengths and weaknesses) through a phone call, an e-mail or a loving note. We cannot say enough positive things about PCA. The family atmosphere and nurturing environment is what we love the most about this school, and we truly appreciate all that it has to offer for our children during their critical years of learning. You will instantly see and feel this close-knit family environment as soon as you walk through the school's doors. Not only does PCA excel in academics; it develops well-rounded individuals who move onto middle school with strong moral values and a spiritual foundation. PCA is the "complete package" in the education world. We couldn't ask for more!
I can't say enough about this wonderful school. The education is top notch with small class sizes and individualized attention for each student. My children love the caring priests and amazing teachers - plus they are learning about their hellenic culture and values. I'm so glad we found this school.
Pythagoras Children's Academy is a hidden "gem" in the western suburbs! We are so fortunate to have been introduced to it. Even though the 1st and 2nd graders scored very high on their IOWA tests in 2011, PCA focuses on each child, not only intellectually, but spiritually, emotionally and socially. No child is overlooked. The teachers and Orthodox priest welcome all children with love and concern. Each student is given customized attention and detail due to the small teacher to student ratio (max. of 1:14). We are so excited that the school board is working on advancing the school to 5th grade! We can't say enough about PCA - you'll have to try it out for yourself!
At PCA, the teachers and priests focus on the whole child, not only on the academics, but on the spiritual, emotional and social development of each child. With such small class sizes, our children's every needs have been addressed and handled with love and care. We are so blessed to be involved with PCA. We can't wait for it to expand to 5th grade!
One of the best decisions we ever made was to sign our child up here. You definitely don't have to be Greek to attend and I'm told not everyone is Orthodox. Although that was the nice thing about this school! Parents drive in from many different suburbs just so their children can attend this school and it is worth every gallon of gas because the students test in the top 20% in the nation! Classes are capped at a teacher:student ratio of 14:1 and the school is expanding to 5th grade in the coming years! Cost is much more affordable than other private schools and the overall education is way more wholesome, given past experiences. PCA is definitely worth considering, because you won't just enroll your child in a school, you will also become enveloped by the school's family atmosphere!
