Jefferson Elementary School Reviews

By a Parent on

This year my daughter is in fourth grade and has a great teacher who helps tutors her in math.  When I tried to get help in third grade no one would give her any help.  This is a big improvement in our school district.  Her reading skills are also much better and she went from reading just fourth grade level books to reading 8th grade level books.  One thing I don't like is that they don't have spelling tests and I think this is very important  when writing papers.  My daughter is also in a Dual Language program, but is learning the math terms in spanish and not in english which is her first language and I think that is why she is having so much trouble in Math.  I think all math should be taught in the english language till students understand it throughly and should become very repetitious instead of jumping all over the place with different ways of doing math and then students would understand the concepts better.  That is all I have to say for now.
