With bullying it starts at the top with the administration and the staff. The administration should be held accountable for this and many other problems at this school. The safety of the students should be top priority but not at this school. There has been problems in the last three years or more with incidence of knives and guns being brought to this school and being covered up by the administration at this school and the distract office . The parents in the community should be outraged and ask for answer to this and the many other problems facing this school.

I believe that the schools in the Joliet area, in general, have lost some of the achievement level that has been there in the past. That said I do not belive that being "POOR" has anthing to do with violence or INTELIGENCE, but more the parenting that goes on at home. I use to go to Gompers, and  teachers back them seem to be more attentive. Maybe parents should be more involved and a better school might evolve.

I do believe that our school system has gone down a whole lot since Iwas at this school but to me not all the poor kids are violent the way it is said on April1 review there are some bad seeds just like in other school only they don't make it know for some reason or another but any thing that happens in the poor kids school is always made public news which is unfair to our poor children as this person  puts it this use to be a very good school when I was the it seems like now some of the teachers that are here don't really care like they use to back in the days as long as the get pay thats all that matters now

a disgrace....teachers speak the same language as the kids...NOT proper language that is.  This school is filled with poor kids who are violent.  I just can't articulate the words, to describe this school.
