Stevenson is a school who sets the standards very high. That standard also comes from the community. While it seems most surrounding area schools try to keep up. SHS beats it's own Drums, always has, always will. Students are expected to do well by being involved in Clubs, Activities, Sports. Good grades and active  involvement as a student proves to go hand in hand. There is something for everyone, with endless choices. Staff and all involved go out of there way to help students who may not have found there nitch. Free one on one tutoring in the learning centers, the list is endless as to what they offer and provide students with to succeed. For a student to not do well, or not be involved is by their own doing. For a student or parent to feel like a robot or be miserable, is because they chose to be. Life is about choices, and so is being an active student at Stevenson. You make your own happiness, so please dont blame SHS for what you can't seem to find within yourself.

The school was so large it was easy to get lost in the shuffle, and fostered a competitive atmosphere.  That being said, it has stellar academics and extracurricular offerings.

This school is a greatly diverse school. SHS lets kids be put in a new environment, where they meet a huge amount of new people everyday, and get a taste of the real world. Stevenson High School pushes students, which can be a good or bad thing, but in most of the cases, a great thing. The teachers are wonderful and make time for the students if they need before/after school help. SHS has hundreds of different clubs and co-curricular activities, and encourages their students to get involved. All in all, I highly recommend this school.

There are other schools that are just as good and better than Stevenson.  Stevenson's administration need to wake up and stop living in their glass bubble. The only excellence in the school is making one's life miserable!  Quit treating everyone like robots.

Way too hard on students.  Its like a free military school.
