Lockport has failed to meet AYP minimum standards of NCLB for two consecutive years. No surprise to us as parents of a current and former student & as former students ourselves. Administration should find an alternate HS for students that want to get an education in a district that listens to it's students and their parents - the taxpayers! LTHS teachers & adm. need to quit complaining about referendum in this economy and focus on our kids. Check out their salaries for 9 mths. Tenure? Taxpayers are not getting their money's worth in most cases. Some teachers & adm. are fine but few and far between. If your not living in this district already don't move here! Try Lemont or LWay schools!

Carol Lucas: I have been a resident here for about 4 years, From what I have seen I am very impressed with all Lockport area schools. I greatly admire the Lockport band I see or hear practicing a large amount of time. The sports teams & cheerleaders are exceptionly good. Proud to be a Grandma of one currently and two who have graduated. Also the students all seem to do very well with there grades. I hope they continue to be so dedicated.
