Want to help you child excel & reach their goals then SAOC is your school!
From the warm welcoming greeting by Ms. Selvi (the school's offical "mother" of all the kids) who greets everyone, parent, child, grandparents, older children who don't attend the school by name (that she remembers EVERYONE amazes me)
To the greetings from all the teachers & principal. You are always welcome to come in & observe what is going on.
The teachers are there for your child 24/7. Assisting with tutoring after school and even on weekends, all year long. You have the teachers email, phone numbers so you can alway be in contact with them for any questions. They encourage a student with postive feedback, never putting a child down.
The programs they offer really challenge them to think!
With small classroom size they can offer more one on one time. Your child will not get lost in the shuffle!
Some of the things my son is learning in grammer school are things I learned in high school!
I wish there was a school like this when I was his age.
He actually gets up before the alarm, is always ready to go to school (looks forward to it) and there are some days I can't get him to leave!

Science Academy is great school. My daughter has been at this school since 2007 and we have no intentions to move to another school. They have small classes where every student is taken into account during the class and I think that is a big plus. School is taking students to field trips (ice skating is coming up my daughter is so excited) so often that I don't need to worry about planning more for my daughter's fun, I am sure working parents would appreciate that. I am very happy with my daughter's results academically, she got at her IOWA test from last year. It was way higher than an average score for 4 th grader. Her level of performance and grades were higher than 5 and 6 graders. I was so happy for her and I couldn't ask more...

My son is a first grader at Science Academy of Chicago. He started there without going to kindergarten and he can read and write quite qood, and he got very good at math. Being in a very small class, he gets a lot of attention. As I read from other parents’ reviews; my son also wakes up early telling me that he wants to go early, and wants to stay longer even after school hours. We can’t be happier than that, definitely an excellent school.

It is a great school and the teachers are incredibly dedicated. They are constantly looking at innovations, new recources and very open to dialogue with the parents. I can follow my child's progress, homework, projects and grades online and know at any time how he is doing. I cannot praise this school enough.
